Record A level results celebrated at Torquay Academy
We are celebrating the school’s best ever A Level and BTEC results today as our students achieved a record set of results. A third of all A level grades were at A*-B which is a 12% improvement upon last year’s results. 81% of BTEC results were D*-D which showed an increase of 15% on last year. This improvement demonstrates the hard work displayed by our students and the dedication of our teaching staff.
Every student who applied to university has gained a place on their degree course. We have our highest numbers of students heading off to university studying a wide range of courses across the UK.
Our Head of 6th Form, Mrs Hosking, told me that she is very proud of the commitment this year group have shown to their studies and she is delighted with the record results they have achieved.
