Enrichment, hearts, End of week assemblies and bingo

End of week assemblies

Mr Chadwick Has been holding end of week assemblies with each of the year groups in the All Day School. He is very proud of the students’ achievements this week as we have moved to a more rigorous academic curriculum. It has been a real pleasure to see so many students so hard at work in all of the classrooms.

Fun Friday

We celebrated fun Friday this week with a game of prize bingo! Who could ask for more than a bar of chocolate in return for a line or a full house…

All Day School enrichment

In addition to their Maths and English lessons with their teachers, students have been enjoying a wide variety of lessons in school this week. From outdoor chemistry demonstrations to music to drama to heart dissections.

Enrichment at home

Thank you to all of the students who have shared pictures this week – you have all been put into the raffle to win the £25 Amazon voucher. It is so nice to see all of you.

Students of the week

We have had another week where it has been very difficult for our staff to pick out the students to be awarded the student of the week certificate and badge. Congratulations go to Lewis Vinson, Mollie Macfie Jones and Charlotte Sweeney

Kole Gjikolaj on interviewing candidates

On Thursday I interviewed applicants for the Director of Safeguarding for Torbay, I had to ask questions and score them too. I really enjoyed doing this as this was very fun and interesting! I also got unexpectedly paid too, which is a bonus! All of this was via Zoom and from 8.30am till 5pm with 15 to 20 min breaks (in which I did my written homework) All of this was an amazing experience and I would love to do this in the future too! For obvious reasons, the photo was taken before on a break. I am fully smartly dressed (not like those bottom half cheating news reporters!) I switched my tie after every single interview!

Year 10 School

We have had many students in this week for their second week of full time education. Next week all Year 10s will be in on a rota if they are not part of our full time provision. We look forward to seeing you next week.

Breakfast club

We are still offering a free breakfast for all students attending our All Day School.

6th Form School

Students will return in greater numbers from Monday in our Year 12 as well. We are looking forward to welcoming them back into school where they will be spending extended days working with their A-level teachers to ensure that they are ready for the start of year 13 in September.

Remember social distancing

Mr Chadwick and Mr Penrice have been modelling a new line in TA gear this week.
