Today was a wonderful day at Torquay Academy as we welcomed our Year 13 students back into school for A-Level Results Day. Having not seen many of them for several weeks, it was fantastic to have them back together again and to see so many smiles as they opened their results and celebrated everything they have achieved.
Our students have been incredibly successful, and we are delighted that every student has secured the grades they need to move on to their chosen next step. For the majority, that means heading off to university, while others have secured exciting apprenticeships and employment opportunities. Some are taking a gap year before beginning university, and we wish every one of them the very best, wherever their next adventure takes them.
This group of students has been an absolute pleasure to have at Torquay Academy over the past seven years. We have watched them grow from Year 7 students into confident, ambitious young adults, and we could not be prouder of them. Today was a celebration not simply of their results, but of everything they have contributed to our school community along the way.
We will miss them enormously, but we are incredibly excited to see what they go on to achieve. Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We wish you every success for the future.
