Attendance Officer

Salary Range: 12-17 £22,183 – £24,491 FTE (£19,251.97 – £21,255.02 actual salary)

(negotiable based upon experience)

37.5 hours per week

39 weeks per annum

Required from 1st September 2021, a permanent Attendance Officer to lead a team improving attendance and punctuality across the Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual who can make such a positive contribution to the attendance, education and life chances of young people.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate:
• The ability to promote attendance and support change
• The ability to manage a team dedicated to improving attendance
• The ability to communicate with both young people and parents/carers as well as outside agencies.
• Excellent record keeping and understanding of data
• Experience of spreadsheets and ICT skills

Duties include:
• Overseeing the monitoring of student attendance and lateness
• Maintain the rewards and certificate system to acknowledge excellent attendance
• Attend pastoral support meetings with a focus on attendance
• Analysing persistent absentees’ attendance and develop action plans to rectify the issues
• Complete the documentation and process for legal paperwork
• Have oversight of any student educated off site
• Inputting data into our attendance management system (currently SIMS)
• Train staff in attendance issues

Salary Range: 5-6 £19,312 – £19,698 FTE (£16,760.32 – £17,095.32 actual salary)

  • Building positive relationships with students and their families to improve attendance
  • Being a visible member of the school community at break times

Attendance Support Officer Job Description

 

Cleaner

Salary Range: Scale Point 1 £9.25 per hour (£17,842.00 full time equivalent)
Closing Date: Interview Date:  TBA

 

Required ASAP a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to clean in and around the Academy building (areas to be advised). Working hours will be Monday to Friday 3.15 – 7.15pm. Term time only plus 3 weeks holiday working.

You will work as part of a team providing cleaning services to the Academy in accordance with the specification or as directed by the Premises Manager.

The successful candidate will be expected to be sympathetic towards the students and the ethos of the Academy
