The safety, wellbeing and happiness of every child is of paramount importance to the school. Torquay Academy has an unrivalled reputation for the care we provide to our students.
Each Year group has a Progress Leader who is responsible for the wellbeing and progress of each child in that Year group. There is also a full time non-teaching Progress Leader Assistant who is there to support children and families at all times through the day. Every child also has a form tutor they will see at the start of every day, it is this consistency that ensures all of our students are looked after on a day-to-day basis. Supporting these staff are a wealth of other specialists including a child protection team, attendance officers, first aiders, pastoral support workers, specialist teaching assistants and our Assistant Principals.
Ensuring every student is happy and safe is our first priority at Torquay Academy
