Music Teacher

Salary Range: MPS/UPS (TLR2a £2,639 available for negotiated responsibilities)

Our heavily-oversubscribed school is growing and we need a brilliant Music Teacher, to join our team from January 2018. HLTA (Level 4 Teaching Assistant) – One to one student support Fixed term initially for 12 months

Salary: Scale £23,398 (£17,150 pro-rata)
Hours per week: 31.67
Weeks per annum: 39
Closing Date: 12/7/17 Interview Date: Week commencing 17/7/17

Required from 1 September 2017, fixed initially for 12 months to be reviewed, a Level 4 Teaching Assistant (HLTA) whose duty will be to support a male student with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
You will take responsibility for ensuring the student can access all curriculum learning and fulfil his academic potential under an agreed system of supervision. To include assisting with creating a bespoke timetable to fit around the student and his physical needs, supporting the student in optimising the use of technology where appropriate, monitoring his movement around the school and managing sensitive issues that arise from the student’s condition, being the daily link with parents and class teachers.
If you are a good communicator and have experience of working with young people in a learning environment; have Level 4 TA Status or the equivalent qualification or experience; the ability to encourage and nurture students to learn and to maintain discipline in the classroom and can work flexibly during the course of the year, we would like to hear from you.
